Hi frens.
I understand that not everyone of you is religious and among who are not everyone is christian. Nevertheless, now it's Lent time. The Lent remind us the time when Jesus fasted in the desert tempted by the devil.
If we want to see the thing in a non-religious optic, the Lent is a moment of the year when we say no to what is alluring but bad for us and embrace the struggle in order to become better version of ourselves.
What do I do other than what is prescribed by the religious rules?
During this period I renounce to the pleasure of alcohol. You can believe me if I say that it's not easy for me.

At the midnight of Tuesday March 4th the 40 days started.
I'm going to avoid bad foods and to train at least 3 times per week.
Yesterday I checked my weight:
>weight 79.90kg
>body fat 9.9
>muscolar mass 41.6
>BMI 25,2 (slightly overweight)

Tomorrow I'm going to do a basical fitness test.

Wishing you luck, fren. I don't have experience with the lent, but have been wanting to do it for some time.

Have you considered ditching alcohol altogether? I highly recommend giving this sermon a watch:

Update:
I did my self evaluation test. Here the results:
>pull-up 8
>push-up 39
>squat 69
>sit-up 50
All the exercises has been done in the time limit of 2 minutes.

Let's train and see how much I can improve in a month from now.

Thank you for your suggestion but I'm not going to get rid of alcohol.
If I were a binge drinker that can't control himself I would totally do that but it's not my case.
For me some good wine or beer are the perfect complement for a delicious meal. I enjoy them without even get tipsy.
Not to mention that there are many social occasions where it's appropriate to have an alcoholic drink.

Hello frens!
Let's have a post that's not spam, shall we?
The Lent is over and i'm happy to share the results with you. Considering that, for several reasons, during this period i was able to train only 9 times, the results are surprisingly good.

Let's start with the weight. I weighted myself on March 09th and April 06th.
>weight: 79,90 / 77,80 (-1,9kg)
>body fat: 9,9 / 9,6 (-0,3%)
>muscular mass: 41,6 / 41,9 (+0,3%)
>BMI: 25,2 (slightly overweight) 24,5 (in shape)

About my fitness, i've tested myself on March 11th and April 17th.
>Pull-ups: 8 / 9 (+1)
>Push-ups: 39 / 44 (+5)
>Squats: 69 / 75 (+6)
>Sit-ups: 50 / 51 (+1)

I suppose that the slightly better result was mainly due to the loss of weight which is due to the abstinence from alcohol. If i were less lazy and busy in order to train more, i could had achieved way better results.
